Does your teen need
They make hasty, poorly-considered decisions and need to have better judgment.
They’re being bullied at school – or they’re the one doing the bullying. They don’t get enough exercise or need to lose weight.
They have low self-esteem and seem to be down all the time. They give up when things get difficult and fail to meet their goals.
Raising a teenager requires persistence & patience
It can test your sanity even at the best of times. Yet, you want the best for your teenager. You want them to have the tools they need to succeed now and later in life – and you’d like that to happen without having to pull out all your hair in the process. Getting them to do anything you want them to do can feel utterly impossible, and you’re not sure where to start.
Studying martial arts helps kids learn how to overcome their problems and learn important lessons – the kind of lessons that will follow them to your home, to the classroom, and for the rest of their lives.
your teen will grow with every class!
Teenagers who study martial arts learn the benefits of self-control and discipline with every lesson. Our classes emphasize core values like discipline, respect, and persistence. Students learn that the way they treat others – in and out of the dojo – reflects on them as people and affects their ability to achieve their goals.
I've loved, and am still loving every second I've spent at Axsom Martial Arts. It has done nothing but good for my life. It has helped me develop a strong work ethic, sense of responsibility, and an open mind to be able to understand and adapt to most situations. "Building character; Teaching Karate" is an understatement when it comes to Sensei Mooses business!
My son absolutly loves this place. He had been asking me for months to try and I finally gave in and allowed him. First off, Axsom and his staff have the of the best prices around. Second, my son loved the fact that he is able to train with the older teens (black belts) in the dojo. It gives him an attainable goal and he sees it daily. Third, he gets pushed. Axsom and his staff push my son daily to do his best and respect himself and his teammates.
I feel like my son will be better prepared for life and the challenges that come with it be of karate. He is mentally and physically tough. And just because he spars and knows how to fight does not mean he hits anyone he sees, he knows how to show self control in situations that may seem difficult.
Just so you know thou, if you choose to send your child here, the staff goes out of there way to make sure that the newer kids feel welcome and make friends. It is truly like a family in the dojo, everyone helps each other and cares about the success of the kids.
Love this place. Me and all my military buddies go here and it is a solid place to take your child or for any adult young and old. If you want amazing teachers and a fun atmosphere go to AMA.
Anyone who says otherwise hasn't been.
Outstanding school, my grandson started when he was three and now four and he is progressing so well, he gets one on one training and loves it. I recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn Karate
You will never find a better dojo or a better Sensei to help develop your childs karate and their overall person. Sensei genuinly cares about their growth as a person, their education, and of course their development in karate as well.
